Patient Information Management System (PIMS)The Department of Traditional Medicine Services is in the process of developing Patient Information Management System (PIMS).

Patient Information Management System is an online system where physicians can punch the data of their patient’s medical details for centralised information sharing. The system will enable them to keep proper record of their patients and their treatment.

Physicians from all over the country met in Gelegphu over the last two days to learn how to operate the system.

The system is expected to be operational by July.

However, many physicians who are posted in the remote areas will have to continue maintaining the records manually until they get internet connection.
