Hindu Shamajik Puran underway in DarlaA nine-day Hindu Shamajik Puran is underway in Darla Gewog under Chhukha Dzongkhag. The religious ceremony, which began yesterday, is being presided over by Pandit Dr. P.L Nirola, President of the Hindu Dharma Samudaya of Bhutan. Lam Neten of Chhukha Dzongkhag also graced the opening ceremony.

Unlike other Hindu Purans, this ceremony involves preaching from the Buddhist Lams as well.Hindu Shamajik Puran underway in Darla-

According to the organisers, the Puran and Choeshey ceremony is in pursuit of peace, prosperity and well-being of the monarchs, the country and its people. It is also to promote and preserve the spiritual heritage of the country.

The opening ceremony was also attended by the Members of Parliament of Chhukha, Dzongkhag and Dungkhag Officials and officials from other agencies.
