Four-day training on earthquake resistant construction ends

Training on earthquake resistantA four-day training on earthquake resistant construction concluded in Chhumig under Bumthang yesterday. The training was conducted at the Technical Training Institute.

All Trainees and Staff of the TTI Chummig, Local craftsmen and Local Construction Engineers from Bumthang took part in the training.

The training focused on the theoretical and practical knowledge on increasing resistance of buildings against earthquake. A good construction practice of traditional houses was also included.

The trainings have been conducted in 11 dzongkhags till now.

The Division for Engineering Adaptation and Risk Reduction under the Ministry of Works and Human Settlements carried out the Training.

About 160 participated in the training.
