In an effort to enhance the country’s preparedness, the National Consultative Workshop on Emergency Preparedness and Contingency Plan for Avian Influenza Virus A (H7N9) began in Thimphu, today. During the three-day workshop, on-going emergency surveillance activities and findings of the avian influenza A (H7N9) will be assessed amongst others. The workshop is coordinated by the National Center for Animal Health and Food and Agriculture Organization with different stakeholders.
