HRH-DashoJigyel-Bhutan-Thailand Friendship OfferHis Royal Highness Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck left for Bangkok today to grace the launch of the “Bhutan-Thailand Friendship Offer”.

His Royal Highness will launch the programme tomorrow at an event being organised by the Tourism Council of Bhutan and the Royal Bhutanese Embassy at hotel J.W Marriott in Bangkok coinciding with the 34th Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the King.

Around 300 invitees from the travel industry, media, the diplomatic corps and government are expected to attend the event.

The “Bhutan-Thailand Friendship Offer” is a special gesture from Bhutan to Thailand to commemorate 25 years of diplomatic relations and the long-standing friendship between the two countries.

A release from the TCB says the initiative is a unique promotional opportunity being offered to visitors from Thailand to visit Bhutan during June, July and August of 2014.

The details of the offer will be revealed tomorrow at a press conference in Thimphu.
