HM+HM in Tsakaling, Chali and SilambiHis Majesty the King accompanied by Her Majesty the Gyaltsuen, visited Tsakaling and Chhaling gewogs in Monggar last week. These far-flung gewogs are connected by farm roads.

His Majesty along with Her Majesty visited Samten Chhoiling Lhakhang and the Nagtshang in Tsakaling. Scores of people had gathered to meet His Majesty and the Her Majesty the Gyaltsuen. After witnessing mask dances, His Majesty granted Tokha to the people.

Their Majesties also offered prayers at the Lhakhang and Nagtshang.

When their Majesties arrived at Chhaling, hundreds of people, including the local leaders, had come to receive them. The people shared their difficulties, hopes and dreams with their King.

His Majesty and Her Majesty then travelled to the remote gewog, Silambi. Silambi falls under Weringla Dungkhag.

His Majesty the King granted Tokha to the people, and discussed various issues that concerned them. Their Majesties spent the night in a tent in the school ground, and continued to speak to the people individually the next day.

The Office of The Gyalpoi Zimpon identified 29 people from the community in need of Kidu from His Majesty the King. Of the total, 23 are students. They have been included in the Gyalpoi Tozey Scheme. The rest are elderly people with no one to look after them.

Medical camps were also organised at the gewogs.
