The People of Draagteng Gewog in Trongsa continues to battle forest fire for the third day today. It started on the afternoon of February 4 from Yoormo under Langthil Gewog.
The forestry officials suspect the blasting at Refey-Koshila bypass road construction to be the probable cause.
About 500 acres of forest is estimated to have been damaged by the fire.
Meanwhile, the forest fire at Wangdue Phorang was contained at 2 PM yesterday.
