BHSCE-ToppersThe Bhutan Council for School Examinations and Assessment (BCSEA) declared class 12 examination results in a press conference in Phuentshogling this afternoon.

The overall pass percentage of all three streams is 86.6 percent, a slight decrease as compared to the previous year.

Three students each from Ugyen Academy and Yangchenphug HSS, including a student from Nangkhor HSS, were declared toppers of the Bhutan Higher Secondary Examination Certificate (BHSEC) 2013 examination.LCSCE Toppers 2013

All three students from Taktse HSS topped the Language and Culture Studies Certificate Examination (LCSCE) examination 2013.

A total of 9,649 candidates from 34 government and 14 private higher secondary schools sat for the examination in December last year.

All results will be available online at the BCSEA website www.bcsea.bt after 6 PM today. Students can also access their results through SMS by using their individual index number.

Unlike in the past, the results this time were declared in Phuentshogling where the paper evaluations were carried out. This was in order to save time, said Kinga Dakpa, the Secretary of Examinations, BCSEA.

“We wanted to declare the results as early as possible so that the students can access their results at the earliest and decide their further studies.”

Officials said the Council will start accepting applicants for paper re-check beginning tomorrow, and the results will be announced on February 24.
