Follow-up report on resolutions presented in NC

Follow-up report on resolutions-NCThe Chairperson of the National Council’s House Committee, MP Tshering Dorji, presented the follow-up report on the resolutions of the first session of the National Council today.

The resolutions that were submitted to concerned agencies and ministries pertain to several issues. It includes the Trowa Theatre land case, legality of imposing restriction on mining activities by the Dzongkhag Tshogdu within its geographical jurisdiction, impact assessment of mining activities and restoration and renovation of sacred artifacts.

The National Council’s Chairperson, Dasho Dr. Sonam Kinga, said the concerned committees of the House should judge whether the issues needed to be re-deliberated.

The presentation of follow-up report on the resolutions of the 1st session will continue next week.
