A 47-year-old woman has died after being stung by a swarm of rock bees in Lumang Gewog, Trashigang.

She is said to have had numerous bee stings and died on the spot after the attack.

The deceased was with four other friends when the bees attacked them yesterday around 1 pm.

The rest, however, managed to escape unhurt except for one who was stung twice.
