Cabinet ready to submit findings on surrendered secretariesThe Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay, said the cabinet is ready with their findings, on the three surrendered secretaries, to be submitted to the Royal Civil Service Commission (RCSC). He was speaking during meet the press today.

“We respect RCSC’s decision. After we surrendered the three secretaries to the RCSC, they wrote to us asking us to provide details and evidences on the basis for surrendering the three secretaries while they carry out the investigation within two weeks.”

This comes after the RCSC asked the cabinet to submit the details and evidences of the charges against the secretaries within two weeks as they investigate the case.

The government had surrendered the economic, foreign and cabinet Secretaries on December 12 to the RCSC.

The Prime Minister’s Office had said they had exceeded their mandates, breached rules and misused the Committee of Secretaries.
