His Holiness appoints Tshempoen Lopen

(Picture Story): His Holiness the Je Khenpo appointed Lopen Dago Tshering as the Tshempoen Lopen of the Zhung Dratshang. His Holiness offered Tashi Khadar to the new Tshompoen Lopen at the Puna Dewai Chenpoi Phodrang this morning. Lopen Dago Tshering, 40, is from Haa and joined the monastic body at an early age of 13. He finished his monastic studies from the Puna Dewai Chenpoi Phodrang Dzong in 1997 and studied at the Dodeydra Shedra until 1998, following which he served as a lecturer in the same Shedra.
