Chortens robbed off their Nangtens

ChortensVandalisedTwo Namgay Khangza chortens in Jaru Gang under Athang Gewog have been robbed off their Nangtens for the second time. The chortens, believed to be 600 years old, were vandalised last evening. The first vandalism took place back in 2009.

Police are investigating the case. Wangdue Police have recorded eight chorten vandalism cases so far this year.
