The Human Rights Day was observed in the capital. Relevant stakeholders and youth participated in a forum discussing human rights. The theme this year is “20 years working for your Rights”. This year marks 20 years of service since the inception of the UN High Commission for Human Rights. The Thimphu forum was organized to create awareness on human rights and understand its relevance to the development of democratic Bhutan. The forum was organized by the Bhutan Centre for Media and Democracy and the United Nations Development Programme.
