Learning time for young MPsTo enhance the analysis and research capacity of the young parliamentarians, a workshop is underway in the Capital. Twenty Five Members of the Parliament are attending the workshop. The two day, S-STAR- Strengthening Support to Analysis and Research workshop is organised by the Institute for Gross National Happiness Studies (iGNHaS) in partnership with UNDP, Bhutan.

The programme is expected to strengthen research and knowledge management capacity of the Parliamentarians. It will also provide them the opportunities to learn from the best practices in other countries.

The Director of the Department of Research and External Relations of RUB, Dr. Dorji Thinley, said it is important for the Parliamentarians to focus on evidence-based decision making. “The Parliamentarians are the ones who make public policies and legislations.”
