The Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay, is on a week-long visit to his constituency in Haa, beginning yesterday. This is his first constituency visit after assuming the office.
Yesterday, Lyonchhen met with the people of Samar Gewog and briefed them on the resolutions of the last Parliament and priorities of the 11th Five Year Plan.
Lyonchhen also visited the National Centre for Riverine Lake Fisheries and Lhakhang Karpo construction site.
In the evening, Lyonchhen met with the Sector heads of the Dzongkhag. During the meeting, Lyonchhen spoke on the importance of civil servants in achieving the development plans in the country. Lyonchhen informed that the government is working on enhancing the government performance management system.
