PM--BangkokDialogueLyonchhen Tshering Tobgay attended the Bangkok dialogue on the rule of law today. The dialogue, the first of its kind seeks to promote effective, fair and equitable justice systems. The dialogue was chaired by Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Mahidol.

“Today’s Conference is important as it represents a significant opportunity in our collective search for the post-2015 development agenda,” said Lyonchhen.

Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay said that Princess Bajrakitiyabha Mahidol’s inspiring keynote opening address had set the enlightened tone for deliberations. “Similarly, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has succinctly defined the important goals of today’s dialogue while setting high standards for our discussions,” he added.

Our reporter, Tenzin Rabgye, said the dialogue saw world leaders and experts gather to discuss the issue.

The dialogue aims to highlight the rule of law as a vital inclusion in the United Nation’s post-2015 Development Agenda.  The dialogue will also include achieving sustainable development, poverty reduction and peaceful societies.
