NC-Closing2013The first session of the second Parliament of the National Council concluded, today, with the offering of Tashi Moenlam by members. The final sitting ended with rectification of the resolutions.

In this session, the house adopted the Budget and Appropriation Bill 2013-14 and the 11th five year plan, saw deliberations on the Anti-Corruption report 2012, and endorsement of the need to amend the National Council Act 2008.

There were quite a few recommendations that were passed by the house as well.  An integrated rural development policy,  a study to promote tourism in Dagana and Tsirang, and involvement of relevant stakeholders in preparing project reports for mega hydropower projects were just a few of the recommendations.

The house also saw deliberation on the Anti-Corruption Report 2012.
