32 armed forces personnel promoted

His Majesty The King promoted thirty-two armed forces personnel to the rank of colonel at the Tashichhodzong yesterday.

The officers, 16 lieutenant colonels from the Royal Bhutan Army (RBA), 15 from Royal Bhutan Police (RBP) and one from Royal Bodyguard (RBG) received Tashi Khadhar from His Majesty the King in a traditional ceremony at the throne room.

His Majesty is the supreme commander of the armed forces of Bhutan.
