Foreign Minister calls for sustainable development at UNGA

FM-UNGA.The Foreign Minister, Rinzin Dorje attended the UN General Assembly’s Special Event on Millennium Development Goals, yesterday. At a Round Table conference, Lyonpo called for sustainable development and poverty eradication to be placed at the core of the post 2015 development agenda.

He emphasized the need for a transformative development agenda which will bring about shared prosperity and happiness to all while highlighting that any post-2015 development agenda would be incomplete if it does not address the special challenges of least developed countries.

Lyonpo is at the 68th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
