Tiger skin and bones seized

TigerBones-SkinOfficials of the Forest Protection and Surveillance Unit seized a tiger skin and bones from two Indian men in Gelegphu on September 20. It was confiscated from a hotel in Gelegphu town before the men could trade it with the buyer, suspected to be Bhutanese.TigerBones-Skin.

The authorities said the suspects’ room was raided seizure following a tip-off from their informer. The unit has a network of informers both within and outside the country.

The two Indian men were fined as per the forest conservation rules.

The officials from the Forest Protection and Surveillance Unit says anybody giving any information on wildlife trade will be rewarded.
