Tenancy Act- Time to Act?

TenancyAct.The Tenancy Act of the Kingdom of Bhutan 2004 has been discussed in the National Assembly. The Minister of Works and Human Settlement, Dorji Choden, moved the motion to review and amend the Tenancy Act of the Kingdom of Bhutan 2004.

Lyonpo briefed the house on the Act and reported the problems associated with it in the Dzongkhags. She said an area that needed looking into was the role of the local government.

Most Members of Parliament agreed that the Tenancy Act needs amendment. Lyonpo Dorji Choden also stressed on the need to create more awareness on the Act.
