Winners of short films awarded Golden Khadhars

Loday-Chophel-best-fiction-film-2013-Beskop-TshechuThe Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay awarded Golden Khadhars to the winners of short films at the Beskop Tshechu, a short film festival.

Chand Bhattarai bagged the first prize for his animated short film titled, ‘Nowhere’. In the documentary category, Karma Gyeltshen, bagged the first prize. The documentary was titled, ‘My Paralympic Dream’.  Loday Chhophel won the first prize for fiction short film titled, ‘Rent and Grains.’

The Beskop Tshechu, a short film festival, was organised by a group of film makers and artists. Its objective is to create a unique Bhutanese film language and to recognise the local short film makers who make film on genuine stories. Of the 17 short films, 12 were selected for the awards in three categories such as animation, fiction and documentary.
