New app allows Android users send SMS in Dzongkha

dzongkhaSMSAndroid 4.1 phone users can now send text messages in Dzongkha. The new app, launched at Rigsum Institute of IT and Management today, was developed by an Indian Consultancy, Rigsum had hired.

The Chief Executive Officer Rigsum, Chen Chen Dorji, said the application is for those who have difficulty with English language. He also said it is to promote the national language.

The institute will be charging a minimal rate to install the application.
