Norway's Ambassador to Bhutan calls on Prime Minister

PM-Ambassador of NorwayThe Ambassador of Norway to Bhutan, Eivind S. Homme called on the Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay, at Gyalyong Tshogkhang, today. The discussion between the two revolved around global climate change, environment conservation through substituting fossil fuel with sustainable and renewable forms of energy. They also spoke promoting the use of electric vehicles to curb carbon emissions.

The Prime Minister and the ambassador also touched upon democratic transition in Bhutan. Lyonchhen said it is an an attestation to the fact that democracy can work and deliver.

Lyonchhen also said it gives him great satisfaction to see Bhutan and Norway enjoying a remarkable bond of friendship that has strengthened over the years.

The Norwegian Ambassador   assured Norway’s continued support, cooperation and friendship in the times to come.
