Bear-mauls-a-man-to-deathA man, who is in his early fifties, was found dead in a nearby forest at Dawakha in Paro, yesterday. His body was recovered at 3:30 PM. Authorities say the man probably died from bear attack as there was claw marks on his face.

BBS’s reporter in Paro, Yeshey Gyeltshen say, and the man had left for the hospital early morning the day before yesterday. The authorities say the man must have encountered the bear on his way since he had not turned up at the hospital.

The Forest officials say bear attacks are common in August, September and October since the animals come out of hibernation in these months.
