House of Representatives of Japan in Bhutan

PM+House-of-Representatives-of-Japan-in-Bhutan..A ten-member House of Representatives from Japan has arrived in the Country. The delegation is led by Mr. Katsuyuki Kawai, the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs. The delegation called on Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay at the Gyalyong Tshogkhang in the afternoon, today.

Lyonchhen thanked the delegation for visiting the Country and talked about the close relations that Bhutan and Japan have shared since 1986.

Lyonchhen also made special mention of Dasho Nishioka and the contributions he made to Bhutan’s development.

Mr. Kawai and his delegation visited the Nishioka Chorten in Paro this morning. They offered flowers, lit butter lamps and offered their prayers at the Chorten. This is the 3rd time Mr. Kawai is visiting Bhutan. The delegation is in the country till Thursday.

The delegation also called on the Foreign Minister, Rinzin Dorje, and the Finance Minister, Namgay Dorji, earlier in the day.

The delegation then met with the Speaker of the National Assembly, Jigme Zangpo.
