Thousands of devotees are attending the annual Moenlam Chhenmo or the great prayer ceremony, in Haa. The ceremony is being presided over by His Holiness the Je Khenpo, Trulku Jigme Choeda. About 200 monks from Shedras and Goendeys in the Dzongkhag are also taking part in the Moenlam Chenmo.
On the first day of the prayer ceremony, His Holiness performed the Kawang and Wangkur. His Holiness will also perform Drubchhen, Jinsey and Ngadro-Nidupdrup-Lawang in the following days.
The two-week annual Moenlam Chhenmo will end on the 20th of this month.
This is the 14th Moenlam Chenmo to be organized in Haa Dzongkhag.
