300 students suffer from ARIs

More than 300 students of Tendu Higher Secondary School in Samtse were reported sick with Acute Respiratory Infections (ARIs). The students were suffering from throat pain and common cold symptoms.

A team of health officials from Sibsu hospital is currently treating the students. Tomorrow, the health officials from Samtse will be going to Tendu to collect samples.

The collected samples will be sent to the National Public Health Laboratory in Thimphu for H1N1 confirmation.
