The continuous heavy rainfall since yesterday has swollen the Kalikhola posing threat to the people living in the vicinity.
This morning, three households in Gaultar village were relocated to a safer place in Lhamoi Dzingkha Gewog, Dagana. The Dungkhag provided tarpaulin and other assistance.
Meanwhile, Lhamoi Dzingkha Dungkhag is cut off from the rest of the districts. The swollen Kalikhola river has submerged the road to Phuentshogling via India, and the lateral road via Gedu is also blocked at several locations.
