Two pan shop owners in Thimphu were detained by the police yesterday for selling tobacco products. The shops are located near the taxi parking area.
They were found selling 196 sticks of cigarettes, 775 sticks of bidis, over 1000 grams of chewing tobacco and five tins of sniffing tobacco.
After a tipoff, the Bhutan Narcotics Control Agency conducted a raid yesterday afternoon. Bhutan Narcotics Control Agency said they will conduct series of search programmes soon.
