Landslide-ReatalaHeavy rainfall since yesterday trigger roadblock and caused landslide at Reotala.

The block was cleared yesterday afternoon, and vehicles were allowed to pass through.

However, the DoR officials, advise the people not to travel at nighttime and during dense fog. The site is said to be dangerous and prone to accident due to falling boulders and mudslide.

Meanwhile, the Zhemgang Rabdey monks, led by Lam Neten, today instilled a Sacho-Bumteer at the site, and performed rituals for safety of the travelers.

According to Royal Bhutan Police, the bridge between Gelegphu and Santabari, an Indian town of Assam, is sinking. Therefore, there will be no vehicle movement for 4 to 5 days with immediate effect from today. People are requested to avoid travelling across Gelegphu Bridge until it is restored.
