PDP-Complaint-forwarded-to-Central-Dispute-Settlement-BodyThe Dzongkhag Election Dispute Settlement Body in Bumthang forwarded a complaint filed by a registered PDP member against DPT’s President Jigmi Y. Thinley to the Central Dispute Settlement Body in Thimphu, today.

The complaint was made on July 3. The written complaint by PDP states that the DPT President had made defamatory remarks while campaigning in the dzongkhag.

The President is said to have made defamatory remarks against Thongmey Yeshey of Chhumig while campaigning in the gewog.

PDP also claims to have an audio recording of the DPT President’s speech.

Since the complaint was made a day prior to the dissolution of the dzongkhag election dispute settlement body, the case has been forwarded to the Central Election Dispute Settlement Body.
