PDPsupporter-accused-distributing-unauthorised-pamphletsThe Druk Phuensum Tshogpa’s (DPT) Dzongkhag Coordinator of Trashi Yangtse, has filed a complaint against People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) supporter for supposedly distributing unauthorised copies of a newspaper article. The coordinator alleges the PDP supporter, of distributing photocopies of an article on Education City in Dzongkha version to the people of Boomdeling and Yangtse. He also accuses the supporter of not being a registered party member.

According to the election norms any pamphlets distributed to the people should be signed by the Returning Officers of the Dzongkhag. Since the Dzongkhag Dispute Settlement Body has been dissolved, the case will be forwarded to the Central Dispute Settlement in Thimphu.

Two complaints made against both DPT and PDP have been forwarded from Bumthang and Trashi Yangtse to the Central Dispute Settlement Body. The cases had to be forwarded as the Dzongkhag Election Dispute Settlement Bodies have dissolved following electoral procedures.
