Issue pertaining to conducting of religious rituals was one of the highlights, raised at the Fourth Annual Lam Neten Conference held in Thimphu on Thursday. Lam Netens said that it was important to conduct the daily rituals to avoid natural calamities and ultimately ensure peace in the country.
According to Samdrup Jongkhar’s Lam Neten, Sonam Tenzin, it is important to have an annual meet, so that problems faced at the Dzongkhag level could be discussed and come up with a solution.
Meanwhile, the Lam Netens also offered a thousand butter lamps at the Kuenrey of the Trashichodzong for the victims of the flash flood in Uttarakhand in India.
