A fire that broke out from a suspected electrical short circuit burned down a two-storied Bhutanese house in Shaba, Paro today. The fire is said to have started at around 8:30 am. The house was empty when the fire started. The only occupant, a 62-year-old woman had gone out.
Police firefighters were able to fully control the situation in around 3 hours with the help from the local community, army and other volunteers. There were no casualties and most of the belongings were also saved.
