DPT--Files-Complaint-Against-PDP--TrashigangThe Druk Phuensum Tshogpa’s (DPT) Dzongkhag coordinator in Trashigang has filed a complaint letter against the People’s Democratic Party’s (DPT) Kanglung-Samkhar-Udzorong candidate, Norbu Wangchuk.

During a campaign meeting in Udzorong last week, Norbu Wangchuk is accused of saying the three parties, Druk Chirwang Tshogpa, Druk Nyamrup Tsogpa and People’s Democratic Party has united as one family.

He is also accused of asking people not go to attend the DPT party meetings. Norbu Wangchuk is also alleged to have distributed a card, which has no proper party identification. The card, according to the complaint letter, is meant to help the party supports financially or through other supports, when they come to Thimphu.

Norbu Wangchuk is also accused raising the issue of regionalism in the media. The letter says, Norbu Wangchuk’s statement has left many people worried and concerned in Trashigang.

As evidence, an audio record of the campaign meeting in Udzorong has been submitted along with the complaint letter. The Dzongkhag dispute settlement body is currently investigating the case.
