India's Foreign Secretary in the country

Foreign-Secretary-of-India,-Ranjan-MathaiThe Foreign Secretary of India, Ranjan Mathai arrived in the country today on a three-day official visit.

The visit is part of the regular exchanges of high-level visits between the two countries.

He was received at the Paro airport by Foreign Secretary Yeshey Dorji, Indian Ambassador to Bhutan V P Haran and senior officials.

Foreign Secretary RanjanMathai is accompanied by Akhilesh Mishra, Joint Secretary (North) of the Ministry of External Affairs.

The Indian Foreign Secretary met his Bhutanese counterpart for an official meeting earlier this evening.

While in the country, he will receive an audience with His Majesty the King.

He will also call on the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government, Lyonpo Sonam Tobgye.
