DCTA candidate of one of the political parties, Druk Chirwang Tshogpa, has apparently joined politics even before resigning from civil service. The candidate works a teacher in Monggar.

The education ministry received the candidate’s resignation letter yesterday. The Education Secretary told BBS that the resignation was submitted to the Monggar Dzongkhag on the April 28 which was then forwarded to the Ministry.

The Human Resource committee of the education ministry met today to discuss the application. The committee will now submit a letter to the Royal Civil Service Commission seeking for a decision.

The candidate told BBS that upon enquiry with the ECB officials, he was told that clearance is not required for the primary round.  He added that he joined politics thinking that his clearance will be through for the general elections.
