Damphu Police arrested two men in connection with vandalizing four vehicles this morning. The suspects between the age of 20 and 23 were under the influence of alcohol when the Police apprehended them the next morning. A resident had informed the police about the incident through 113. They were caught at 3 am from near Damphu town.
In another incident, Phuentsholing police have detained two men, aged 30 and 32 in connection with possession of controlled substances.
After a tip off, the two men intercepted with the substances at Rinchendhing check post on Tuesday evening. They were carrying 48 sheets of Spasmo Proxyvon and 30 files of Relipen tablets.
According to police, the substances were hidden in the spare tyre of the car they were travelling in. The convicts have confessed to the crime and said that the tablets were for self consumption.
The substances worth Nu.6, 600 were bought from a dealer in Jaigaon.
