Jigmi-RinzinFrom Pema Gatshel, the former NC MP, Jigmi Rinzin, 41, secured 3,717 votes. He secured 1,467 votes through postal ballot.

After he was elected as the Member of Parliament in 2008, Jigmi Rinzin served as the Chairman of National Committee on Parliamentary Entitlements.

He is a Chartered Accountant.

He was also the Member of Global Study Group on new Public

Accounts Committee and the Secretary General Asia Regional Association of Public Accounts Committees.

“If I get elected, I would like to ensure successful implementation of 11th Five Year Plan,” said Jigmi Rinzin. He also said he will propose necessary amendments to legislation covering parliamentary committees.

The other contestants, Pema Wangchuk secured 2103 votes including postal ballot and Sherab Jamtsho secured 1685 votes.
