A 33-year-old man was detained by the Zhemgang police, on Tuesday, for allegedly raping a 19-year-old girl. He was arrested following a complaint lodged by the girl’s parents. According to them, the suspect had raped their daughter in the afternoon on the same day of his arrest. They allege that the incident took place in the shop they own.
The suspect, in his statement to the police, said it was consensual.
The police are awaiting medical examination report.
