Strong winds cause damages

StornWind-PunakhaStrong winds have blown off roofs of several houses in Mendagang in Dzomi Gewog, Punakha. The wind storm struck the village around 8.30 last night.

Fierce winds blew off the roofs of Dzomi Gup’s office, the science lab; two classrooms of Mendagang Primary School and the kitchen of Mendagang Lhakhang.StornWind-Punakha.

The damages have been reported to the Dzongkhag administration.

The strong wind has also ripped roof off a newly constructed private building.
