PM attends the opening of De-Suung training

PM-De-SuupsThe Prime Minister, Jigmi Y.Thinley was the Chief Guest at the opening ceremony of the seventh De-Suung training at the Military Training Centre in Tencholing, Wangdue Phodrang, today.

The opening ceremony started with a prayer symbolising the unity and harmony of the country and the spirit of volunteerism.

Hundred and nineteen graduates and in-services, taking part in the De-Suung training programme took an oath to reaffirm their service to Tsa-Wa-Sum.

During the five-week training, the De-Suups will be given first hand training on search and rescue operations, preservation and conservation of cultural heritage and traditions and conservation of environment.
