A forest fire that had been raging on for three days in Wangduephodrang was finally contained at about 7pm, yesterday. The fire which started in Baychhuzam near Jarugang village has destroyed more than 1500 acres of forests. The fire-fighting team consisted of armed force personnel, the Punatshangchu staff, forest officials and villagers.
