CommonForum-PoliticalPartyFive political parties came together, for the first time, to introduce their respective parties at a common forum at the Royal Thimphu College (RTC) in the Thimphu, yesterday.

Introducing their political parties to a packed hall, the representatives of the parties shared their ideologies and principles. Bhutan Kuen-Nyam Party, Druk Chirwang Tshopa, Druk Nyamrup Tshogpa, Druk Phuensum Tshogpa and People’s Democratic Party were each given 15 minutes for their introduction.

There was a question/answer session at the end of the forum.

Students who formed a major chunk of the audience said they were aware of the five political parties but had not known about the principles and ideologies of the parties until the forum.

The forum for the Introduction of the Political Parties was organized by the RTC.
