Delegations meet to promote Bhutan-Thailand trade ties

ThaiDelegatesTo promote trade between Bhutan and Thailand, the delegations from the two countries met in the capital today.

The first ever Bhutan- Thailand consultation on bilateral trade agreement is a mechanism to promote trade between two countries, in various fields such as Tourism, food items, electronic, garments motor-vehicles and its parts.

Thailand delegation was led by the Director General, from the department of trade negotiations, and others trade officials from Thailand.

Bhutanese delegation was led by the Joint Secretary Sonam P. Wangdi from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and the senior trade officers from the Department of Trade and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Finance.

According to the joint secretary, such consultation on bilateral trade agreement will help further improve the trade relations and strengthen the economy of countries.
