BCSEA declares class 12 results

Tikaram Acharja, from Ugyen Academy, Punakha, topped science stream, with 88.50 percent. Diwas Puri came in second position with 87 percent.

The Bhutan Council for School Examinations and Assessment (BCSEA) declared the 2012 class 12 examinations results in a press conference today.

Out of over 8,900 students who appeared for the examinations, about 7700 have successfully passed the examinations.

The overall pass percentage in all streams put together was 86.78 percent, an increase of 0.73 percent over 2011 pass percentage of 86.05 percent.

Karma Choden, from Motithang Higher Secondary School in Thimphu topped the commerce stream with 85.50 percent.

The topper for Arts stream, with 89.25 percent is Namgay Choden from Ugyen Academy, Punakha.

The details of the results will be made available at website www.education.gov.bt by this evening. The candidates can also access their results through text messages in B-mobile and TashiCell using their index numbers.
