With youth unemployment and outward migration on the rise, the World Bank is ramping up its support for Bhutan by launching a new five-year Country Partnership Framework that puts job creation at the heart of its development agenda. Backed by USD 300 M in new financing, the framework aims to unlock private investment, strengthen job-rich sectors such as agribusiness, tourism, and the digital economy, and expand opportunities, particularly for women, young people, and disadvantaged communities.
