The Thimphu District Administration inaugurated three farm road improvement and blacktopping projects under Phase I of the High Impact Community Development Project, previously known as SDP, yesterday. With a combined budget of Nu 33.5 M, about 250 households in Maedwang Gewog will benefit. The works include blacktopping over seven kilometres of Sisinang and Danglo-Namsaeling chiwog roads and Nyizerkha farm road.

Aimed at improving rural connectivity and supporting agricultural livelihoods, the projects are expected to be completed within April next year. The projects are supported by the Government of India.
